ABOUT
My name is Paul Nissley and flying is my passion. I have a broad array of expertise in aviation and aerospace, including many years of piloting, flight-test, operations, research/design/test engineering, management and executive leadership. I am a full-time, professional aviator with extensive "glass-cockpit" experience in "high op's tempo" environments. I have flown many different types of high-performance, multi-engine, piston, turbo-propeller and jet aircraft in very challenging environments (hard IMC, low-level, mountainous, etc...). When appropriately applied, I am a strong advocate for the use of technology to enhance safety and reduce pilot work-load. I am an early adopter of SMS (Safety Management Systems), EFB's (Electronic Flight Bags) and FRAT's (Flight-Risk Assessment Tools).
My jobs have included: Private Aircraft Management, Charter/VIP, Air-Ambulance, US Forest Service...
My titles have included: Line Pilot, Chief Pilot, Chief Instructor, Check-Airman and Training Captain.
